Product Description

Brown Corundum for Abrasives and Refractories

<sup>Brown fused alumina also named emery. The raw materials is bauxite, carbon materials and iron scrap. Put the raw materials into arc furnace, passed the high temperature. The main ingredient is Al2O3 and the content is 75-95%. Also have some other ingredient, such as Ti, Si, Fe. The brown fused alumina is the based material of the abrasive.

Density: 3.85g/cm3. 
Bulk density: 1.72-1.95g/cm3.
Appearance: maroon or brown black.

Production process: sorting of the raw materials → electrolytic smelting → crushing → magnetic separation → filter → physical and chemical testing→ packing → warehousing</sup>

Application of brown corundum

<sup>1.Used to produce high grade refractory, castable, refractory brick; Main size is 1-3, 3-5, 5-8mm.

2.Sandblasting-----Features: Moderate hardness, high bulk density, without free silicon dioxide, good toughness, fine size and without ash.

Application of sandblasting: stainless steel, iron workpiece, copper workpiece, glass product, plasthetics, aluminium extruded sections, Copper section, jean and special plus materials, plush processing and effect of pattern.

Function: Remove surface stains, remove the welding slag and matt effect, remove oxide skin, surface strengthening, the role played by light.

Sandblasting size: 46, 60, 80mesh(Big size could recycle more times. Or according to the customer's request.)

3.Grinding wheel----When grinding high tensile strength materials, choice the good toughness
brown fused alumina. When grinding low hardness with elongation of the material, choice brittle brown fused alumina.
